Abstract:An optimization design is carried out to address the insulation problem of SF6 interrupter for a 40.5kVgas-insulated ring main unit.The finite element software is usedto simulate theelectric fieldof the moving and staticcontact structure inthe40.5kV SF6arc-extinguishing chamber.The simulationresults show that the electric field intensity isconcentratedatthearcoftheendofthemovingcontactandthearcoftheouterendof the staticarccontact,andtheelectric field distribution between themovingandstatic contactsisextremely unbalanced.Electric field simulationsof thearc-extinguishing chamberare conductedwithand without a voltageequalizing structureatdiffrent opening distances,and with thevoltage-equalizing structureatdiferent positions. Theinfluenceof theseconditions onthe electricfield distributionof the arc-extinguishing chamber isanalyzed,and the structural optimizationof thearc-extinguishing chamber is completed.After optimization,themaximum electric field intensity at the sampling boundary of the moving contact end decreases by up to 30.45% .Therationality of the structural optimization is verified through insulation tests.The test results show that adding a voltage-equalizing structure and arranging it at an appropriate position can meet the interrupter insulation requirements of the 40.5kV (204号 voltage level without increasing the opening distance.
