Abstract: To improve the separation performance of cyclone, a composite three-phase hydrocyclone was designed.By means of numerical simulation,the influences of three main structural parameters on the separation performance of the composite hydrocyclone were analyzed.Based on the single-factor analysis results,an orthogonal test was designed and performed,and variance analysis was conducted on the test results.It is found that as thelength of the first-stage cyclone chamber and the insertion depth ofthe second-stage cyclone chamber increase, the total separation eficiency of the composite hydrocyclone tends to increase and then decrease.As the upper cone angle increases,the total separation effciency gradually decreases.The optimal structural dimensions of the hydrocycloneare obtainedas folows:the length ofthefirst-stage cyclone chamber is 9Omm,the insertion depth of the second-stage cyclone chamber is 20mm , and the upper cone angle is 0∘ . The three structural parameters are ranked as the insertion depth of the second-stage cyclone chamber > the length of the first-stage cyclone chamber > (204号 theupper cone angle,with respect to the weight of influence on the separation eficiencyof the hydrocyclone.The research results provide a reference for structural design of cyclones.
