Application of multi⁃sensory stimulation with breastmilk in painful procedures of neonates：a scoping review

Abstract  Objective：To review the application of multi-sensory stimulation with breastmilk（MSSB） in painful procedures of neonates.Methods：Chinese and English databases were retrieved，literature was strictly screened according to inclusion and exclusion criteria，Literature information  was  extracted  and  summarized.Results：A  total of 10 articles were included.The content elements of MSSB included research objects，operation types，sensory types， contents and methods of each sensory，and intervention duration.The evaluation indexes mainly included pain degree indexes，physiological indexes and behavioral indexes.Conclusions：MSSB can effectively reduce procedural pain of neonates.It is necessary to further improve and optimize the content of the program，deepen the application effectiveness in painful procedures.
