Abstract：Asanon-invasive，low-costandlow-risk treatmenttechnologyphotobiomodulationtherapy （PBMT）showsa unique appication prospect inthetreatmentofulcerativecolitis （UC）.Thisarticle introduces thepathogenesis ofUCand the currentapplicationstatusofPBMTinclinicalpractice.Itisanalyzedthat thistherapyisexpected toplayasynergisticrole with existing treatment methods suchas5-aminosalicylicacid（5-ASA）preparationsand biologicalagents.Atthe same time， thisarticlealsoanalyzesdeplytheposiblechalengesandsafetyrisksintheclinicalapplicationofPBM.Itisrecommended that future research should focus onformulating operation methods，adjusting treatment parameters，developing individualized treatment plans，and adding safety measures，so as to promote the clinical transformation ofPBMT in the treatment of UC.
