Abstract:Aimingatthe problems of environmental polutionand health threatscaused bythe global growthof antibiotic consumption,as wellasthe problems of enrichmentand difusionof antibiotics and resistance genes in wastewater treatmentplants,the biological treatmenttechnologies(adsorptionand biodegradation)of antibiotics in wastewater treatment plants werereviewed,andtheir advantages and disadvantages were analyzed.This paper focused on introducing anaerobic biological treatment methods (such as up-flow anaerobic sludge bed(UASB),expanded granular sludge bed(EGSB), anaerobicbaffled reactor(ABR),etc.),analyzed the impacts of antibioticsoneach stage of anaerobic fermentation, explored he removal mechanismof anaerobic fermentation onresistance genes,and prospectedthefuture developmentof antibiotic treatment technologies and the research directions for the removal of antibiotic resistance genes.
