Abstract: In order to improve the development eficiency of commercial vehicle body in the early design stage and ensure that the project development passes on time, parametric modeling and co-simulation optimization technology are introduced in the body design stage.The overallwidth,flanging width,height of the beam structure and plate thickness are parameterized based on MeshWorks software,and the optimization process based on modal and stiffess analysis is built by Optimus software for lightweight design of the body in white. The final optimization scheme can reduce the weight by 14.6kg ,with a weight reduction range of 5.1% . The first order torsional frequency of the structure is increased by (204 4.4% ,the bending stiffness by 2.8% ,the front torsional stiffness by 0.9% ,and the back torsional stiffness by 1.5% . In the case of slight performance improvement, the lightweight of the body has also achieved obvious results.
