Abstract: In the natural environment,there is a close relationship between microorganisms and plants. Among them,root exudates play an important role as chemical signals in the rhizosphere environment, especially as chemotactic signal to induce microorganisms to rapid recognize and colonize the host plants. Understanding the chemotactic functional characteristics of root exudates is of great significance for comprehending disease occurrence and the colonization of biocontrol bacteria. Therefore,this paper reviews the composition characteristics of root exudates,summarizes the chemotactic induction activity and mechanism of root exudates on microorganisms, outlines the practical applications of chemoattractants in microbial colonization and disease regulation,and looks forward to the research and application trends of chemoattractants in disease occurrence and control,as wellas rhizosphere health regulation. The aim is to provide new ideas and theoretical support for the future regulation of crop health and the prevention and control of soil-borne diseases.
