ABSTRACTLow-intensity pulsed ultrasound(LIPUS),asan emerging non-invasive neuromodulation technology, demonstrates broad clinical potentialinthetreatmentofneurologicaldiseasesduetoitsuniqueadvantagessuchas highspatial resolutionandabsenceofionizing radiation damage.Byleveraging non-thermal biological mechanisms (such as mechanical stress andacousticstreaming efects),LIPUScanpreciselymodulate neuronal electricalactivityandneural networkfunction while maintainingcellarstructural integrity.Currentstudieshighlightitsremarkableneuroprotectivefectsandfunctional improvementsindiverseneurologicalconditions, includingcerebral infarction,Parkinson’sdisease,Alzheimer’sdisease, epilepsy,andmajordepresivedisoder.Tisarticlesystematicallyreviewtheulti-targetmechanismsof transcanialUSin neural function modulation, with emphasisonrecentadvancements inmotorrehabilitationand neurological symptomalleviation. Furthermore,it discusses current challenges and future directions for clinical translation.
