Abstract:Objective Inorder to meet the preparation requirements and improvethe low rock breaking eficiency of similarmodel test materials fordriling weak cemented sandy mudstone in the western Jurasic.Methods Based on thephysicaland mechanical properties ofsandy mudstone and the drillng conditions for drillingand rock breaking, sandymudstone rock breaking materials were prepared.Thephysicaland mechanical properties of diferent proportion materials were analyzed,andthe sensitivityfactor analysis ofrock breaking material strength was cariedout byusing range analysis method.The rolling cutter penetration tests were conductedintherock breaking materialto study the rock breaking efficiencyof therolling cuters indrillng wellsunder differentlateral stress conditions.Results Theresearch results indicated that the gypsum content was the key factor afecting the compressive strength of the materials, while the cement sand ratio was the key factor affecting the tensile strength and shear strength.Atheratioof m sand : m cement :m gypsum ∴m kaolin :m water ;m water reducer =10:12.5:7.5:1.5:6:0.2 ,the physical and mechanical properties of the material met the similarity requirements of sandy mudstone.Conclusion The load penetration curves of two types of material specimens can be divided into four stages of nonlinear deformation,linear elastic deformation,crack initiation and propagation,and post peak failure.The natural state specimen is abritle failure,while the saturated state specimen is a plastic failure.The specific energy consumption and anti intrusiocoeficient of the two types of material specimens are positively correlated with the lateral confinement stress.However,when the lateral confinement stress is the same,the specific energy consumption and anti intrusion coefficient of the saturated state specimen are smaller than those of the natural state specimen,with an average decrease of 28.7% and 28.5% ,respectively. The research results can provide material ratio references and theoretical guidance for the rock breaking test and rock breaking mechanism research ofthe drilling method in the weakly cemented sandy mudstone formation of the Western Jurassic.
