Abstract:Objective To better simulate the traffc situationof vehicles onurban roads to research the emission of gas pollutants on urban roads.Methods Based on thedual cruise control celllar automaton model and polutant emission model,the impact of speed bumps on the polltant emissions of urban trafic roads was investigated with the consideration of the expected speed of the preceding vehicle.Results The results indicated that the speed bumps had a significant effect on traffc flow and emissions.The emissions remained almost constant as the density increased in the free flowing phase.The emissions of O 02,NOX and PM decreased as the density increased in the maximum platform flowing phase.The emissions changed with the increase of density in the block flowing phase.As the density increased,the pollutant emissions underwent changes with two extreme values.Compared with the results of the NaSch model,there was a significant decrease of CO 2 ,NO ΔX and PM emissions.Conclusion The dual cruise control model provides a more accurate and detailed simulation of real-world situations,adapting beter to thecomplex real-world conditions and providing theoretical support for reducing the emission of air pollutants on urban roads.
