Preparation and properties of bamboo microcapsules as mildew-resistant agents

Abstract:【Objective】Microcapsulesofiodopropyylbutylcarbamate (IPBC)forbamboo anti-mold were prepared by in-situ polymerizationusingmelamie-urea-formaldehyderesin(MUF)asthewallmaterial.Theanti-mold performanceof themicrocapsules wasinvestigatedThmastoimproethesabiltofteantioldagentandbroadeitsaplicationintefeldofmbfugicide throughmicroecapsulatontechoogy.【Methd】Fstlytheptialpreparationproessoftemcroapsuleantimicrobialentwas obtainedthroughorthogonalexperimentsandtheeffectsof6typesofsurfctantsonthmicrosopicmorphologyofthemicocapsule antimicrobialgetreaied;teocasuleooogycturemposiioalabilityCcast andsustained-releaseperformancewerecharacterizedandanalyzedusingtechniquessuchastransmisionelectronmicroscopy(EM), scaningelectroicroscopy(SEM),Fouriertrasfoifraredspectroscopy(F)hrmogravimetricalysis (Gdig performance liquidchromatography-massspectrometry(HPLC-MS);andthemicrocapsuleantimicrobialagentwasappliedtothe bamboosampleanditsantimicrobialperformanceagainstblackmold,grenmold,anditriemoldwastested.【Result】Uderthe reaction conditions of pH value of3,temperature of 40°C ,reaction time of3 hours,core-to-wall ratioof1:1,and using styrene-maleic anhydridecopolyer(M)asasurfaceactiveagent,tebestmorphologyofbamboomicrocapsuleantimicrobialagentwasobtained andithasgoodinibitoryefectsontypicalolds.Theaveragepreventiveeectofambootreatedwithmicrocapsuleantiicobial agent reaches 79.17% .【Conclusion】The microcapsule fungicide prepared in this study ensured a high IPBC encapsulation rate and good microcapsulemorphology,andshowedgoodcontroleficacyagainstthreecommonmolds.Thismicroencapsulationtreatment methodnthisstdyectivelyprotectedIBCmproedtheabilityoftefungicide,ndieedpotentialplicatiofects.
