Characteristics of early vegetation regeneration and environmental interpretation in burned Pinusyunnanensisforest

Abstract:【Objective】Inordertoexplorethecharacteristicsofvegetationregenerationintheearlystageof tebuntlandofuan pine forest.【Method】This study focused on the aftermath of the Ωe4⋅11,3 forest fire that occurred in YuxiCity,Yunnan Province in 2023. A total of 54 plotsmeasuring 10m×10m were established to represent varying levels of fire intensity.Plant surveys and soil analyses wereconductedforunderstoryshrubandtreesaplingregenerationandrdundancyanalysiswasemployedtoexploetheelatiship betwenunderstoryplantrecoverycharacteristicsandenvironmentalfactors.【Result】Theresultsshowedthat162 speciesof plants ofl33generaand58fmilsereidentifedinthestudyreaSpeciesdversityindicesshowedanoveralltrendofdcreasingadthn increasingwithicreasingfireintensityTheMargalefichessindex(R)anddiversitytreshold(E)werepositivelyoelatedwithfire intensity,and thedifferencewassignificant (P<0.05 ).Redundancyanalysisshowed thatTN,fireintensity,foreststand,elevationand slopeaspectarethemainexplanatoryfactorsafectingspeciesdiversitywhiletheimportancevalueofshrublayerwasgreatlyaffected byaltitude and forest stand. The regeneration coverage of understory vegetation was 67% for unburned areas, 43% for lightly burned areas, and 32% forseverely burnedareas.Thedensityof tree seedingswasin the order ofLow fire intensity > High fire intensity > unburnedareas,Theregenerationdensityoftheuphillsopewashigherthanthatofthedownhillslopeintheigfreintensityarea. Therewasasignificant negativecorelation between tree seedings densityandunderstory vegetationregenerationcoverage (P<0.05 ) 【Conclusion】Fireincreasedthediversityofunderstoryvegetationtoacertainextent,owfireintensitywasmostbeneficialtoth regeneration of P. yunanensisseedlings.Onseverelyburnedsites,thedensityofseedingsandtheregenerationcoveragearelow,with theriskofsoileosionThesultswereofgreatsignifcanceforpredictigtestructuralandfunctioalchangesoffrestecosystemand scientific management after fire.
