Abstract:ObjectiveToinvestigatetheethnicorigin Chuanqing people,onethe largest unidentifiedethnic groups in , Chi,andalyze its geneticrelationships with surounding populations.Methods Based o self-developed microhaplotype system,weconducted genotyping andalyzed the genetic distribution microhaplotype loci and their forensicapplicabilityin Chuanqing populationin Province.Usingthemicrohaplotypedatafrom different intercontinentalpopulationsand previouslyreporteddatafrom Han populationlivingin Province,wesystematically investigatedthegeneticbackgroundChuanqingpeoplethroughpopulation geneticapproaches,includinggeneticdistance estimation,prncipalcomponentalysis,and phylogenetic treeconstruction.ResultsAmongthe studied populationthe numberhaplotypepermicrohaplotyperanged from6to25.Theaverageexpected heterozygosity (He),observed heterozygosityH)iai)dpbbilituio(E)e37 respectively.Thecumulativepower discrimition (CPD)andcumulativeprobability exclusion (CPE)forthese33loci were 1-2.62×10-41 and 1-7.64×10-17 respectively. Population genetic alyses revealed that the Chuanqing population had close genetic relationships withtheEastAsianpopulations,especiallthelocal Hanpopulation,BejingHanpopulation andtheHanpopulationsliving insouthernChi.ConclusionThe33microhaplotypes exhibithighlevels geneticdiversity in the Chuanqing population,highlighting their potentials forboth forensic identification and parentage testing.The Han populations might have contributed a significant amount genetic materialto the Chuanqing population during the formation and development the latter.
