【Abstract】To enhance the management capabilities for the Stateof Health （SOH）of powerbateries and strengthen theircontribution tocarbonemisionreduction，thispaperconductsadetailedreviewcenteredon lithium-ion power batteries-acorecomponentof electricvehicles.Thereview encompasses theindustryoverview，supportive policies， existingchalenges，SOHmanagementof in-vehiclepowerbateries，and futuredevelopments.Thestudydemonstrates that SOHmanagementof powerbateriesexhibitsthefollowingkeytrends：（1）Strengthening SOHmanagementcaneffectively improve batery performanceand lifespan，thereby reducing thecarbon emisions of theentirevehicle; （2）Refined battery managementtechnologies basedon SOHoptimization（e.gstate estimation，optimal control）representthecore direction for futuredevelopment;（3）Bateryful-lifecyclemanagementstrategiesincorporatingcascadeutilizationcansignificantly enhance the overall carbon reduction capabilityof lithium-ion batteries.
