Clinical Study on Catgut Embedment in Acupoint with Through-Acupoint NineNeedle Combined with Pantoprazole for Refractory Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical efectof catgut embedment in acupoint with through-acupoint nineneedle combined with Pantoprazole on refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease（RGERD）.Methods：A total of 70 cases of RGERD patients treatedatthe Third Afiliated Hospitalof Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from January 2020 to December 2O22 were divided intothe trial groupand the control groupaccording to the random number table method，with 35 cases in each group.The control group wasgiven theoral administration of Pantoprazole Sodium Enteric-Coated Tablets，and the trial group wasadditionally treated with catgut embedment inacupoint with throughacupointnine-needle basedonthe treatmentof thecontrol group.Both groups were treated for eight weeks and followed up for12 weeks.Clinical effects，Reflux Disease Questionnaire（RDQ）scores，GERD-Health Related Quality of Life（GERD-HRQL）scores and safety profile were comparedbetween the two groups.Results：The total effctive rate in the trial group was 93.10% （27/29），higher than 66.67% （20/30） in the control group （ P<0.05 ）.After treatment and during follow-up，RDQ scores，and GERD-HRQL scores in the two groups were reduced when compared with hose before treatment，with the trial group showing lower scores than the control group at the same time points （ P<0.05 ）： The safety profilewas good.Conclusion：Thecatgut embedment in acupoint with through-acupoint nine-needle combined with Pantoprazole is more efective than Pantoprazole alone in improving clinical symptomsand reducing recurrence in the treatment of RGERD，withahigh safetyprofile.
