Abstract:Putang Bridge is a typical stone arch bridge fromthe Ming Dynasty.After years use,the bridge body has developed various damages and conditions,and research on adaptive conservation techniques that meet both aesthetic preservation and structural safety requirements is urgently needed. To ensure its scientific preservation, this paper combines a variety modern technologies to construct the framework for the repair and protection Putang Bridge. Through on-site investigation and the use 3D scanning technology, a point cloud model Putang Bridge was established. The types and areas damages Putang Bridge were mapped in detail,and the causes deterioration examined; Nondestructive testing using rebound methods, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy(XRF), and X- ray diffraction(XRD) was employed to analyze the strength and composition the bridge's materials.A finite element model was developed according to the form, structure and material properties to conduct a component importance analysis and load impact assessment.Finally,by integrating the results the field survey, finite element analysis, and a comparative evaluation the protective effects three water repellents on the stone materials Putang Bridge,adaptive conservation strategies were proposed. The research outcome can provide reference for the protection ancient brick and stone arch bridges.
