Abstract: This article systematically examines the practical paths of intangible cultural heritage education in Austria. First of all, using local intangible cultural heritage as a model,Austria deeply integrates the subject with different disciplines to create distinctive intangible cultural heritage courses. Secondly, building a professional talent team for intangible cultural heritage through traditional apprenticeship system that combines “theory and practice”. Finally, building a community-based practice field, and collaborate with multiple entities such as schools, inheritors,and social organizations to jointly promote the popularization of intangible cultural heritage education. China can draw inspiration from the successful experience of Austria to build an intangible cultural heritage curriculum system that combines local characteristics with interdisciplinary integration,exploring an intangible cultural heritage teacher training model integrating teaching,research and training,and activatean intangible cultural heritage inheritance network involving the government,society and schools,so as to promote the development of intangible cultural heritageeducationin China.
