Correlation analysis of new obesity index and type 2 diabetes nephropathy

Abstract： Objective To investigate the relationship between novel obesity indicators，such as lipid accumulation product（LAP）， body roundness index（BRI），visceral adiposity index（VAI） and type 2 diabetes nephropathy（T2DN），to guide clinical work.Methods Based on 297 cases collected from the Department of Endocrinology of Chengde City Central Hospital，the association between the novel obesity index and T2DN was analyzed by Logistic regresson. Results A total of 297 patients were included in this study. The results of the univariate analysis showed that BRI，LAP，and VAI were correlated with T2DN （ P<0.05 ）.Multifactorial logistic regression analysis showed that BRI was positively associated with T2DN as an independent risk factor after adjusting for confounding factors（ OR=3.121 ， 95%CI=1.877～5.190） .Conclusion BRI is an independent risk factor for T2DN.

糖尿病具有流行广、病程长、花费高、进展快、预后差、致残致死率高等特点，目前难以根治，绝大多数患者需终生治疗，带来生活上的不便，已经成为最严重最常见的慢性代谢性疾病。（剩余11946字）
