The Impact and Mechanism of Rural Population Aging on the New Quality Productive Forcesin Agriculture

Abstract：Basedonpaneldatafrom31provinces in China from2012 to2023，thisarticleemploysastructuralequation model to empiricallyexamineand analyze the impact and mechanism of rural population aging on the newquality productive forces in agriculture.The results indicate that the deepening of rural populationaging significantly hinders the formationofnewqualityproductiveforcesinagriculture.Specificall，ithasanotableinibitoryefectontechnological， gren，anddigital productivityinnewqualityproductiveforcesinagriculture.Thisisrealizedmainly through the reduction in both thequantityand qualityof the labor force.However，largescale land managementandagricultural socializedservicescan effctivelyslowdown thisprocess，therebypromoting the formationofnewqualityproductive forcesinagriculture.In adition，the impact ofrural populationaging onthe new quality productive forces in agriculture variesacrossdiferent regions.Theresearch findingsoffrvaluable insights forfostering the formation of new quality productive forces in agriculture in the context of population aging.
