Design of quasi-Z-source PV boost converter with low capacitor voltage stress

Abstract:Under the "doublecarbon"goal,PVpowergenerationsystemsrequireadvancedDCconverters.Traditionalboost convertersfacehighcapacitorvoltagestress whenachievinghighvoltagegain.Toadressthis,aquasi-Z-sourcePVboostcoverter withlowcapacitorvoltagestressisprposed.Theconvertercanicreasethevoltagegainandreducethevoltagestresofthecapacitorbyadding thestructurewheretheswitched inductorandthreecapacitors dischargetotheloadtogether.Theconverter's working principle,componentvoltagestressandparameterdesignwereanalyzedindetailandthesimulationverificationand 100Wprototypeexperimentswereconducted.Theexperimentalresultsshowthat,whenthedutycycleisO.2O,theconverter efficiency can reach 94.4% and the voltage gain is 3.2 times.Under the conditionof the same output voltage,its capacitor voltagestressisO.4timesofthetraditionalquasi-Zsourcebosconverteranditshosalineardowwardtrendwithheicreaseof thedutycycle.Teesultssowthatheproposedimprovedquasi-Z-sourcecoverterofershighgaiandowcapacitorstress,aningsafetyandreliabilityofthesystem.Itissuitableforhighvoltagestressscenariosgeneratedbyphotovltaicpowergeneration and has a certain engineering practicability.
