Study on the effects of bagging on fruit quality of Prunus armeniaca

Abstract:This study compared the effects of bagging and non-bagging treatments on the fruit qualityof Prunus armeniaca.The results showed that,compared with bagging,non-bagging significantly increased fruit weight,soluble solids,soluble sugar,vitamin C,flavonoid,and total phenol content,while reducing titratable acid content and increasing the sugar-acid ratio.Therefore, non-bagging is more conducive to improving the flavor and nutritional quality of P armeniaca. Although bagging improves fruit surface appearance,it inhibits photosynthesis and secondary metabolismdue to micro-environmental changes such as shading,leading toasignificant decline in intrinsic fruit quality.
