Study on the effects of bagging on fruit quality of Prunus armeniaca

Abstract：This study compared the effects of bagging and non-bagging treatments on the fruit qualityof Prunus armeniaca.The results showed that，compared with bagging，non-bagging significantly increased fruit weight，soluble solids，soluble sugar，vitamin C，flavonoid，and total phenol content，while reducing titratable acid content and increasing the sugar-acid ratio.Therefore， non-bagging is more conducive to improving the flavor and nutritional quality of P armeniaca. Although bagging improves fruit surface appearance，it inhibits photosynthesis and secondary metabolismdue to micro-environmental changes such as shading，leading toasignificant decline in intrinsic fruit quality.
