Genetic diversity analysis and molecular identification card construction of 72 apple accessions in the cool mountainous areas of Yunnan

Abstract: China boasts abundant apple germplasm resources,encompassing a large number of wild species,semi-wild species,and cultivated varieties.However,the widespread phenomena of synonymy (different names for the same germplasm) and homonymy (the same name for different germplasms) in production have hindered the conservation and utilization of germplasm resources as well as the development of the apple industry.In this study,genetic diversity analysis was conducted on 72 apple varieties (lines) collected from Zhaotong,Yunnan Province.Molecular identification cards were constructed based on the genotypes derived from fingerprinting,and molecular QR codes enabling rapid and accurate identification were also developed.This research provides a theoretical basis for the identification of apple germplasm resources.
