Abstract : In order to achieve the CAAC's requirement for tracking the entire passenger baggage process and improve the eficiency of rapid baggage delivery to departure transfer wheels at large hub airports, this paper proposes an airport chute bufer device. Based on SOLIDWORKS software, a geometric model was established, followed by finite element modeling using the LS-DYNA mechanics analysis module. Taking the sliding of baggage from the chute to the conveyor as the research focus,the DB variable analysis method was employed to calculate parameters such as the support frame inclination angle,the bottom contact height of the movable chute, and the baggage impact speed. Simulation assessments were conducted on the impact of baggage pieces on the original structural baffle and the optimized buffr device under diffrent scenarios. Using ORIGIN software, the force-time relationship of baggage pieces under impact was ploted for varying numbers and positions of buffers. The results indicate that the optimized departure chute buffer device can effectively reduce the usage of queued conveyors and lower space occupancy rates, while significantly decreasing the impact stress on baggage pieces, demonstrating the practical value of the chute buffer device in baggage protection.
