Abstract:To enhance the wave-transparent performance atthe seams oflarge glas fiber composite radome panels n the X -band,this studyproposesanoptimization methodbasedonwiretuning.Byloading metal wiresontotheedgeribsof the radomeseams,thecharacteristicimpedanceofthematerialismatchedtoreducereflection,therebyachievinghightransmissionperformanceattheedgeribs.Fullwave electromagneticsimulationmodeling demonstrates that,within theoperating frequencyband,themaximuminsertionlossattheedgeribsdecreasesfrom3.0dBto2.5dBafteroptimization,resultingin a0.5dBimprovementinadometransmisionperformance.This methodfeaturesasimple implementation,lowcost,ndignificant performanceenhancement,making it widelyapplicable forimproving thewave-transparent propertiesof edge ribs in large radome panels.
