Abstract：Related Perspective is one common phenomenon that emerged in the modern heritage protection movement，and also widely mentioned in Critical Heritage Studies. Based on The Representation of the Past，thisarticle suggests that the related perspective as proposed by Kevin Walsh could be divided into 4 parts： what to protect， how to interpret， marketing influences，and heritage and placeness;and emphasizes on the discussions of modernity and post-modernity. In addition， this article points out that misunderstandings about modern heritage protection still exists in Critical Heritage Studies，which should not be a binary opposing relationship，but instead with multiple common suggestions and directions on both sides.
