[ABSTRACT]In order to evaluate the impact of explosion height on penetration performances of a shaped charge jet source,a model of an 82 mmcaliber shaped charge jet source was constructed.Simulation studies wereconducted on the penetrationperformanceofthejetsourceatvarious explosion heightsranging from110to450mm,andverification experiments were carried out forthe main simulationconditions.Basedon experimental and simulationdataon jetshape,jet velocity,jet diameter,penetrationdepthand penetrationaperture,the efects ofblast heightonpenetration performances of shaped charge jet sources were analyzedand quantified.The results indicate goodconsistency between simulation and experimentalresults,andhighreliabilityofthesimulation method.Thejetheadvelocityhasanegativeexponentialrelationship with theexplosion height.There is anon-linear relationshipbetween penetration depthand explosionheight.The optimal explosion height is256 mm.The quantitative research results can provide reference for shapedcharge jet source safety design and testing.
