Combustion Characteristics of Al-Si/ Composite Energetic Materials

[ABSTRACT]Inorderto explore theeffectsof diffrent silicon(Si)contents onthecombustioncharacteristicsof Al(20 Si/Pb304 composite energetic materials,differential thermal analysis,ignition delay time,constant volume combustion and constant pressurecombustion werecarriedoutfordiferentcompositeenergeticmaterials.And theignitioncombustion proceses of the composite energetic materials were observedby non-contact optical methods.Byanalyzing the measured photoelectric signals and the burn-up images,it can be concluded that the Al-Si/Pl )304 energetic material with w(Si)= (20 20% hasthe shortest ignition delay time and the fastest energy release rate,which can effectively enhance the energy release performanceon basisof maintaininga higher combustion temperature.While whenthemassfractionof Si increases to 30% ,the combustionrate of the energetic system slows down,showing areaction characteristic that is more inclined to that of the ignition powder.
