Abstract：Renalabscessisarare typeof urinarysystem infectious disease inchildren，and itsclinical manifestations areoftenatypical，posingsignificantchallnges toclinicians indiagnosis.Thisarticlereportsacaseofrenalabsce.The childhadintermittentfeverandwaseventuallydiagnosedwithrenalabsces.Afteranti-infectionandpuncturedrainage，the childrecovered.Metagenomicdetectionofpathogenicmicroorganisms inrenal abscessrevealed Bacteroides fragilis.This article discusses the issues of diagnosis，treatment，laboratory testing and prognosis.
