Abstract：Digitalnewinfrastructurehasprofoundlytransformedtraditional governmentpublicserviceprovisionmodels， thoughtheenvironmentalimplications of technologicalinovationremainunclear.Drawing uponpaneldatafrom 30Chinese provinces spanning 2O12-2023，this study examines the impactof digital new infrastructure on government public serviceprovisioneficiencythroughboth theoreticaland empirical approaches.Findings indicatethat digitalnewinfrastructure significantlyenhances governmentpublicserviceprovisioneficiency，withthis effctbeing morepronounced in regions exhibiting higherlevelsof urbanizationand internet penetration.Further mechanismanalysis reveals thatdigital newinfrastructureprimarilyenhances theeficiencyof governmentpublicserviceprovision through technologicalinnovation.Moreover，government digital engagement exerts a positive moderating efect onthis process.This study elucidates theunderlyinglogicandoperationalmechanismsthroughwhichdigitalnew infrastructureinfluences theeficiencyof governmentpublicserviceprovision，offring empiricalsupportforelevating theeficiencyofpublicservice provisionand further refining the basic public service system.
