AbstractObjectiveToosevethecharacteristicsoftradionalChinesemedicinconstutionfelderlyhypertensionpatietsandthei complicationsincommunitybypalm-typeChinesemedicinemerdiandetector.Methods：ThetraditionalChinesemedicine（TCM） constutionoflderlyypertensionpatientswasetectedbyaTCMmeridiandetectornditsaracteristicswereanalyedbyuiarate analysis，muiatesticssdofists：otaofltsi hypertensionwereincludedincudingsventypesofingleonsitutionand19indsofompoundconsitutionLogisticsion analysisshowedthatTCMconsitutionwascoselyrelatedtothetypesofchroicdiseasesaccompanyingit.Furtheranalysisshowedthat bloodstasis，Qistagnationampnessandat，Yinficiencyandegm-dampnesswereinfluencingfactorsihronicisese amongpatientsiterteiootrolinfofoudingfctorsoodasisQsganatdt factorsassociatedwihcoronaryheartdiseaseandstroke.Conclusion：ThetraditionalChinesemedicineconstittioncharacteriticsof elderlyhypertensionpatients，asoservedbyapalm-typeChinesemedicinemeridiandetectorcanprovidemoreefectiveguidancefor thepreventioadtreatmntofhertesionnditsomplictiosndfurtimpretfecyandefctivsofcdisse management in the elderly.
