Abstract Withtherapid development ofartificial intellgence,anewresearch paradigm,"Artificial Intelligence for Science(AI4S),"has emergedandisreshaping the fundamental logicof scientificresearch.Exploring the impactof AI4Son researchinthe fieldofscientificandtechnical informationand itsresponse mechanisms willhelpprovide theoretical supportand guidance forthefuture developmentofscientificandtechnical information science.This articlereviews the landscape of scientific and technical informationresearch inthe AI4S era,conducts topic identification andevolutionanalysis basedonBerTopicandLLM,andsummarizes theresponsivenessandlimitationsof scientificand technical information research toAI4S.Furthermore,itdiscusses theparadigm shiftand problemreconstruction inthe fieldof scientificand technical informationunder the influenceofAI4S.Anew paradigmforscientificand technical informationresearch in the AI4Seraisproposedfromthe perspectivesoftheoreticallogic,rsearchobjects,researchperspectivesandfuctional positioning.Moreover,theshiftofresearch problems isanalyzed withrespect totraditionalandnewresearch tasks inthe fieldofscientificandtechnological information.Thestudyfindsthatcurrentresearch inthefieldofscientificandtechnical information focuses moreon"leveraging readilyavailabledata intellgence to greatly facilitate intelligent information."Future research should explore information-based intelligence in-depth,fullyleveraging the leadingroleof scientific and technical information.
