Abstract：InordertounderstandthegrowthstatusofPlatanusacerifoliaalongthestretsinWuhanHubeiprovince，taking326tres asresearchobject，growthindexessuchasdameteratbreasthight，plantheight，rownwidthaswellashealthindexessuchasdead branchrate，maintrunkinclinationdegree，trunk damage circumferenceratio，androotdecaycondition weremeasured.Meanwhile， thecoelationbetweensoilphysicalandchemicalpropertsandthegrowthstatusof treswereanalyzed.Theresultsshowedhatthe averagediameteratbreastheight （DBH）ofPlatanusacerifoliawas37.54cm，andtreeswithDBHbetween20cmand30cmwerethe most.TheaverageheightofPlatanusacerifoliawas12.7Om，theproportionoftrees withheightbetwee8mand13macountfor 40.50% .Theaveragecrownwidthwas 7.80m ，and there were 58.4% ofthe treeshavinga crownwidthbetween5mand 10m .About 44.4% of Platanus acerifolia had no branches and leavesdamages，and the proportionof trees with a dead branch rate within 10% was （204号 44.7% .29.6% of the trees exhibited slight inclination，10.6 % trees inclined moderately，and 1.5% had a severe in clination.46.7% of the trees had no trunk damage，the proportion of trees having a damage circumference ratio of less than 1/3 was 47.3% ，and 6.0% （20 ofthe treeswere damaged severelywith the ratio exceeding 1/3 .Therewere 46.7% of trees having healthy root， 38.5% hadaslight root rotting，and 3% of the tree roots decayed badly.The health status of street trees had a significant positive correlation with non-capillryporosityandexcessvelyhighsoilpHandreltivelylownutrientcontentmayhadannegativeefortonthegowthof Platanusacerifoli.Overall，latanuscerifoliatreesalongthestrtinWuhanareingoodhalthHowever，furthrmaintenancend management are still needed to promote the growth by improving soil structure and increasing nutrientcontent.
