Effects Magnaporthe oryzae Infection on Expression Genes Related to Nitrogen Absorption Utilization Pathways Rice

AbstractRice blast is the most devastatg fungal disease rice production. High nitrogen fertilizer application tends to promote rice susceptibility to blast,however,the underlyg genetic basis remas unclear. To elucidate the role nitrogen uptake utilization pathways durg Magnaporthe oryzae fection, this study,the expression patterns genes associated with rice nitrogen absorption,metabolism utilization signalg pathways were analyzed by real-time RT-qPCR after blast oculation.The results showed that among the 33 genes regulatg nitrogen uptake utilization,22 genes cludg 8 nitrate transporter genes,3 ammonium transporter genes,3 nitrogen assmilation-related genes,5 nitrogen signalg regulatory genes, 3 nitrogenutilization-related genes were significantly up-regulated at 4 hours after fected by a compatible M oryzaerace,which showed no significant changes compared to the control durg the middle to late fection stages (8~96h ); 28 genes cludg 11 nitrate transporter genes,4 ammonium transporter genes, 5 nitrogen assimilation-related genes,5 nitrogen signalg regulatory genes, 3 nitrogen utilization-related genes were down-regulated upon oculation with an compatible M . oryzae race (4~96h) . These fdgs demonstrated thatthe activation nitrogen absorption,metabolism, utilization signalg pathways played critical roles facilitatg early M.oryzae fection,which could provide references further unravelg the molecular mechanisms nitrogen-duced susceptibility to rice blast.
