Abstract： Color is an important part of oil painting works. In the process of oil painting creation， the paintercan use the color to give more vitality to the oil painting， so that the oil painting has a more rich connotation， toensure that the viewer can have emotional resonance with the painter， so as to improve the artistic value of the oilpainting. This paper analyzes in detail the role of color in oil painting， as well as the emotional expression of colorin oil painting creation， for the reference of relevant personnel.
