[Abstract]ObjectiveTo explore the related risk factors of early failureof simple taper retentive implants，and to provide theoretical guidance forclinical work.MethodsCollctcases ofpatients who visited the Department ofStomatologyof the Fourth Afiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from January 2021 to June 2024，received simple taper retentive implants，andhadcomplete medicalrecords.Takingtheimplantsas theunit，nalyzetheinfluenceofpatient-relatedfactors（gender，age，smokinghistoryypertensionhistorydiabeteshistory），implant-relatedfactors（iplant length，implantdiameter，implantsurfacetreatment），andurgical-elatedfactors （implantsiteimplanttiming，siulta ous maxillry sinus floor elevation，simultaneous bone augmentation）ontheearly failureof implants.Univariate analysisandmultivariate analysis were adopted to explorethepotentialrisk factors forearlyfailureofsimple taperretentive implants.ResultsA total of 3，533 simple taper retentive from 1，681 patients were included during the study period. Among them，53 implants from 49 patients experienced early failure，with an early failure rate of 2.9% at the patient level and 1.5% attheimplant level.Multivariate analysis revealed that smoking（O R=2.148 P=0.021 ），theanterior mandibular region （OR .=3.669 P=0.006 ），and theposteriormaxillary region（ OR=2.191 P=0.033 ）wererisk factors for early failureofsimple taper retentive implants.In theunivariate analysis，simultaneous maxillry sinus floor elevationhada higherriskofearlyfailure，but this effectswasno longer significant inthe multivariateanalysis （ （P>0.05） ）.ConclusionSmoking，theanteriormandibularregion，andtheposteriormaxillaryregionareriskfactorsfortheearlyfailureof simpletaper retentive implants，andcouldbecomprehensively considered in the preoperative treatment plan.
