SNP analysis on liver transcriptome of Longling yellow goat with different odor levels

Abstract: In order to enhance the quality of goat meat and explore the difference genes related to the odor, the total of 14 sheep of three breeds were tested for the significance difference of the total odor value. It was found that there was significant difference (P< 0.05) between Longling yellow goat with high(total odor value greater than 771.845) and low(total odor value less than 771.845) levels. Transcriptome sequencing of liver tissues of Longling yellow goats with high and low odor levels was carried out, and SNP analysis was carried out on the obtained data, and SNP genes were analyzed by GO enrichment and KEGG enrichment. The results showed that there were 411 973 SNPs peculiar to Longling yellow goats with high odor level and 444 638 SNPs peculiar to Longling yellow goats with low odor level, and the common SNPs of two were 856 611. GO enrichment analysis showed that SNP gene was enriched in biological process and cell composition. KEGG enrichment analysis showed that SNP gene was significantly enriched in phosphatidylinositol signaling system, complement and coagulation cascade, insulin resistance, splice, autophagy-animal, cofactor biosynthesis, protein processing in endoplasmic reticulum, endocytosis and AMPK signaling pathway. Analysis of SNPs of six genes in fatty acid biosynthesis pathway showed that seven SNPs were located in synonymous coding regions, and two SNPs caused amino acid changes.
