Validation of DeterminingTotal Organic Carbon in Water with Combustion Oxidation-non -dispersive Infrared Absorption Method

Abstract:AccordingtoTechnicalGuidelineforDevelopmentofEnvironmentalMonitoringAnalyticalMethod Standard(HJ168- 2020),thisstudyadoptedthemethodsdescribedinWaterTotalOrganicCarbonDeterinationwithCombustionOxidationodispesie InfraredAbsotionetod(HO)totesttetectiolit,lowerliitprecisionndcoeessoftalogaiccarbonn water.Theresults showed thatthe correlation coefficient of the standard curvewas O.998,the detection! imit=0.06mg/L ,the lower limit of determination =0.24mg/L ,therelative standard deviation =0 41%~2.4% ,the relative error was 0.46%~1.8% ,and the rate of recovery wasl 04% ,all of which met therequirements of standard methodsand therelated regulations of method verification. Therefore,thelaboratoryhastheabilitytodeterminethetotaloganiccarboncontentinwaterbycombustionoxidationonspersive infrared absorption method.
