Construction of model of pediatric nurses' willingness to adopt local anesthetics in clinical practice

Abstract  Objective：To explore the influencing factors of pediatric nurses' willingness to adopt local anesthetics in clinical practice.Methods：A total of 251 pediatric nurses from 10 hospitals in Sichuan province were surveyed by a self⁃designed survey questionnaire from November 1 to 15， 2022.Model of pediatric nurses' willingness to adopt local anesthetics in clinical practice was constructed based on innovative diffusion theory and theory of planned behavior.AMOS 24.0 software was used for structural equation modeling analysis.Results：The relative advantages and ease of use of local anesthetics in clinical application had a positive impact on the attitude of pediatric nurses.The attitude，subjective norms，and perceived behavioral control of local anesthetics in clinical application had a positive impact on willingness to adopt them.Model Chi⁃square degree of freedom ratio was 1.515， goodness of fit index was 0.910，adjust the goodness of fit index was 0.880，root mean square residual was 0.045， and root⁃mean⁃square residual was 0.020.This model could explain 71.4% variability of adoption willingness in pediatric nurses.Conclusions：The subjective norms，perceived behavioral control，and attitudes have positive impact on pediatric nurses' willingness to adopt local anesthetics in clinical practice.Among them，attitude has the strongest impact.The relative advantages and ease of use have a positive impact on pediatric nurses' willingness to adopt local anesthetics in clinical practice through attitude.This model has strong explanatory power for pediatric nurses' willingness to adopt local anesthetics to alleviate venous puncture pain in children.
