Abstract  Objective：To translate Difficulties in End of Life Discussion⁃Family Inventory （DEOLD⁃FI） into Chinese and test its reliability and validity among cancer patients.Methods：The DEOLD⁃FI was authorized and conducted according to the principle of scale introduction.The reliability validity of the scale was tested in 315 cancer patients.Results：Five public factors were extracted from Chinese version DEOLD⁃FI，which were emotional burden，negative attitude，family burden，fear of death， and communication ability，and the cumulative contribution rate of variance was 64.772%.The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total table was 0.897，the split⁃half reliability was 0.828，the test⁃retest reliability was 0.938，and the Cronbach's α coefficient of each dimension was above 0.85.Conclusion：The Chinese version of DEOLD⁃FI has good reliability and validity， and it can be used to evaluate the degree of end⁃of⁃life communication disorder with family members.
