The Impact of High-FrequencyWheel-Rail Vibration on theFatigue Life of Axle Box Bolts

Abstract :Afinite element model of wheel-rail coupling together with arefinedaxle boxbolt model and abolt fatigue lifeanalysismodel fora high-speedtrain-track systemisestablished to studythe impact of high-frequency wheel-rail vibrationson the fatigue lifeof axle box cover bolts.Basedonmeasured vertical vibrationaccelerationdataof thehigh-speed trainaxle box,the influence of wheel-rail coupled vibration on the axle box vibration acceleration isanalyzed.The dynamic response of thebolt under the measured vertical vibration acceleration is calculated,and the impact ofhigh-frequency wheel-rail vibrationon the fatigue damage of the axle boxbolt is determined.The research results show that the significant peak of the measured vertical vibration acceleration at 600Hz isrelated to wheel-rail coupling resonance. The more severe the axle box vibration,the greater the amplitude of the bolt stress response.The total damage to the bolt in the frequency range above 500Hz accounts for 90% of the total damage within the frequency range of 11-985Hz Therefore, high-frequency wheel-rail vibrations haveasignificant impact on the fatigue damageof axle box bolts.It is necessary to strictly control the shortwave irrgularitiesonwheel-rail to avoid bolt damage caused by
high-frequencywheel-railvibrations.

车轮多边形磨耗和钢轨波磨是我国高速铁路典型的车轮和钢轨非均匀磨损问题,其具有典型的频率固定特征,集中分布在 550~650Hz 频率,与车辆和轨道系统的耦合振动相关[1-5]。(剩余6363字)
