Review of the application of composite materials in the sports equipment industry

Abstract：Composite materials，leveraging theiradvantagesof lightweight，high strength，and corosionresistance，have been widelyapplied inthe sports equipment sector.This paperreviews theresearch progressof fiber-reinforced plastics （FRP）inthe sportsequipment industry：Carbon fiber optimization significantlyenhances equpment stabilityand athletic performancethrough structural improvements；Fiber-reinforced materialsefectivelyreduceweightwhileextending product lifespan；Compositespromoteeficient industrydevelopmentthrough fatigueresistanceandenvironmental sustainability. Current research exhibits limitations including incomplete material propertyanalysis，unsystematicapplication approaches， and constrained innovation due to highcostsand complex manufacturing processes.Future efortsshouldfocus on in-depth research into comprehensive material properties，establish acomprehensive lifecycle application system，and expand lowcost applications inpublic sportsdomains，thereby providing valuable references for technological advancements in this field.
