Abstract:Foucault's readingofSophocles'tragedyOedipus Tyrannus provides acartographic interpretation.The new method hecontributed tothe interpretation of ancient Greek tragedyisa methodof analyzingartisticexpresions and their spatialrelationswithcultural,politicaland material compositions.Allsignificant spaces forOedipus possess het一 erotopian qualities.Foucault notonlyshows the dramatic effectof spatial narrative,but also creatively presents the the conspiratorial relationship between knowledge and power as events enacted through space.
