Study into the Optimization of Atmospheric Plasma Spraying Process of SrZrO3 Thermal Barrier Coatingsand their High-Temperature Performance

Abstract:To address the temperature limitation of conventional YSZ thermal barrier coatings, SrZrO3 thermal barrier coatings are prepared by optimizing the atmospheric plasma spraying process (with current 550A Ar/H240/10L/min ,spray distance 100mm )through Taguchi experiments.Results indicate that after aging at 1600∘C for 360 hours,them 1-ZrO2 phase in the coating reached 27% ,with the thermal expansion coefficient (8~10×10-6K-1 )decreasingwith the phase transformation. Thermal conductivity stabilized at 1.82W/(m⋅K) after agingat 1 000°C . By constructing a SrZrO3 /YSZ bilayer structure,thermal cycling life is increased to 548 cycles—a 54.8-fold improvement overthmonolarsstemfectielyitigatingtralmismatchstreseetwnthcamiclarandondoatingiseseahprovides a novel coating solution for protecting high-temperature components in aeroengines.
