Abstract:To addressthe signaling redundancy in centralized schemes and the IP reconfiguration bottleneck in distributed schemes within traditional architectures of the internet of vehicles,a seamless handover scheme for software-defined internet of vehicles is proposed,which integrates location awareness,multi-interface background scanning,and dynamic flow table redirection techniques.First,the shortcomings of traditional centralized architectures are analyzed,along with the factors contributing to excesive handover delay.Then,relying on the dynamic scheduling capability of the global network view of the software-defined network (SDN) controler,the target base station selection eficiency is optimized through predictive scanning.Finall,considering the characteristics of vehicle multi-network interfaces,data transmision and background scanning tasks are decoupled,and multi-link load balancing is utilized to achieve uninterrupted service migration. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce the handover delay while ensuring the quality of service (QoS) requirements of vehicular applications.
