【Abstract】Therapid development of automated driving technology has posed new chalenges toregulationsand assessment methods.Thispaper providesacomprehensivereviewof thecurrentstateof global regulationsonautomated vehicles,highlighting theprogressmadeby majororganizationsandregions,includingthe United Nations,the European Union,the United States,and Japan.Theseregions haveadopteda progressiveregulatory approach,placingparticular emphasisonsafety asessment methodsforautomatedvehicles.Buildingonglobal experiences inregulatory system development,thispaper delves intothesafetyassessment methods forautomated vehicles,andsummarizes thebest practices and consensus in automated driving safety testingandevaluation.This paper aims to provide valuable insights for establishinga scientificandsystematic evaluation framework.
