AbstractBacteriophages,as viruses capable of cracking bacteria,are the most abundant and diverse biological entities on earth.Phage research hasadvanced many fields of biology and molecular biology.Based on the global health issue ofbacterialresistance and health threats caused by excessiveuse and abuseofantibiotics,bacteriophages as potential therapies have attracted atentionagain.Phage therapy has itsadvantages,but also has some limitations. Using genetic enginering and synthetic biology technology, the CRISPR system and phage genome are integrated together,andthephageisusedasadeliverycarrier.Finalyadual-targetedelminationstrategyisformed,inwhich phage accurately targets specific pathogens and CRISPR accurately targets specific genes.Thisarticle introduced the relevant modification strategies and application reports on the recombinant integration of phage and CRISPR sequences,discussed theadvantages and disadvantages of phage as a delivery vector,and proposed theuse of phageCRISPR.
