Research progress on ketosynthase in polyketide synthase module

AbstractKetosynthase (KS),one member of the polyketide synthase (PKS) complex enzyme,can catalyze the decarboxylation of the acyl coenzyme A derivatives to be loaded onto the phosphopantetheine(Ppant) chain of acyl carrier protein (ACP)and realize the extension of the polyketide chain,so it plays an important role in polyketide biosynthesis.In this paper,the structureand functionofKS,its interaction with other domains,and itsapplication in antibiotic biosynthesis were reviewed. Itcould provide a theoretical basis for the studyof the functionand regulatory mechanism of KS domains, the improvement of polyketide production,and the development of new polyketide antibiotics.

聚酮化合物(polyketides)是一类含有复杂多环结构和多样功能基团、具有广泛生理活性的天然有机化合物,在医药领域具有重要的应用价值,医学广泛应用的抗生素,如大环内酯类红霉素、抗真菌药物的棘球菌素和抗肿瘤药物埃博霉素[等均主要来源于放线菌和真菌等微生物产生的聚酮化合物[2]。(剩余22560字)
