Analysis of the Current Research Status and Spectrum of Dominant Diseases of Fire Needling Therapy

Abstract：Objective To analyze the research literature on fire needling therapy published on China National Knowledge Infrastructure（CNKI），Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform（Wanfang），and China Science and TechnologyJournal Database（VIP） inthe last 2O years，and to explore the current status and the hotspots of the research，thus to summarize and analyze the spectrum of the dominant diseases and technological transformations offire needlingtherapy.Methods CiteSpace and VOSviewer were applied to analyze the keywords， authors and institutions，to draw the scientific knowledge map，and to summarize the disease spectrum.Results A totalof 4 226 literature were included，from 2O0 to 2O23，the number of publicationson fire needling therapy research showedan increasing trend，with each ofthefour periods showing itsown characteristics ofthe times.The “filiformfire needling”and“pricking offire needling”were widely used as acupuncture toolsand acupuncture techniques inthe studies，the emergence of high-frequency disease keywords such as“shingles”“vitiligo”and “acne”indicates that research on the treatmentof skin diseases with fireneedling hasatracted much attntion.The disease spectrumof fire needling therapy was enlarged，involving a total of 356 diseases distributed in 2O disease systems.Conclusion Skin diseases and arthralgia became the dominant diseases of fire needling therapy，the rise ofresearch hot words such as“acne Vulgaris”“vitiligo”“stroke”“chronic eczema”“filiformfireneedling”and “Lingnan fire needling”indicates that fireneedling therapy is developing towards research standardization， theoretical diversification and disease diversification.
