Study on Pre-Aging System of 71o8 Extruded Aluminum Alloy for Automotive Structural Parts

Abstract:To stabilize mechanical property of automotivestructural components made of 7-series extruded aluminum aloy,and enhance the finished product rate for subsequent deep procesing,this study uses the 7108 extruded aluminum alloyprofileofthestructuralpartfornew energyvehiclesas thetestmaterial,conducts three stages of processing,including natural aging,pre-aging and pre-aging + artificial aging,and confirms the influence of the optimal pre-aging system and pre-aging of 7108 extruded aluminum allyprofileof automotive structural part on the mechanical propertiesand intergranular corosion resistance of subsequent artificial aging.Theresults indicate that pre-agingcan efectivelycontrolthe increasein mechanical propertiesof71O8aluminum alloyprofilesundernatural conditions,thereby improving the machinability of the product.
