Clinical study of Cuofeng San in the treatment of anterior circulation cerebral infarction in patients with syndrome of wind and phlegm blocking collaterals

Abstract:ObjectiveToobservetheeficacyof CuofengSaninthe treatmentofanterior circulationcerebralinfarction (ACCI)of patientswith syndromeof windand phlegm blockingcolaterals.MethodsAtotalof150ACCI patients were collected in thisstudy,andtheyweredivided into thecontrol groupandthetreatment groupusingarandom number table method,with75cases ineachgroup.Thecontrolgroupwas givenstandardizedinterventionaccordingtothestrokediagnosis andtreatment guidelines,whilethe treatment groupwas treated withmodifiedCuofeng Sanonthe basisof thecontrol group. Both groups were treated continuously for2 weeks.The treatment efects were compared betweenthetwo groups before and aftertreatment,including theNational Institutesof HealthNeurological ImparmentScale(NIHSS)score,Barthel Index (BI) scoreof dailyactivityability,scores ofsyndromeof windandphlegm blockingcollterals,serum levelsof neuronspecific enolase(NSE),S10O calcium binding proteinB (S10OB),monocyte chemoatractant protein-1(MCP-1)and vascular endothelialcellcalciumbinding protein(VE-cadherin).ResultsThetotaleffectiverateofACCIpatients was higherinthe treatment group than that in the control group ( 93.3% Us. 81.3% , P<0.05 ).After1 week and 2 weeks of treatment, the NIHSS score and wind phlegm obstruction syndrome score decreased inboth groups comparedto those before treatment, while the BI score increased,and the improvement was more significant in the treatment group ( P<0.05 ).After the end of the treatmentcourse,serum levelsof NSE,S1OOB,MCP-1and VE-cadherindecreasedcompared to those before treatmentand the decrease was more significant in the treatment group( P<0.05 ).ConclusionThe modified Cuofeng San hasa significant efecton the treatmentof wind phlegm obstructionsyndrome in patients withACCIacute phase.Itcanimprove neurological function and enhance daily activity ability.

前循环脑梗死(anteriorcirculationcerebralinfarction,ACCI)为左右侧颈内动脉及其主要分支发生病变引起的临床综合征,其发生率高于后循环脑梗死,给患者的日常生活、运动、认知等带来严重负面影响[1]。(剩余8218字)
